The 1999 Camaro received minor updates from the previous year.  Traction control was now an option for the base Camaro and the fuel tank was enlarged to 16.8 gallons (up from 15.5).  This would be the last year for the 1LE performance option. In many ways, this was the beginning of the end for the Camaro. Next year would be the real tipping point for the Camaro’s demise.
