Due to emission requirements, in California the base Camaro received Chevrolet’s 3800 Series II V6.  While Camaros sold elsewhere would retain the previous year’s V6, the 3800 Series II would become standard across the board in 1996.  The Z28 now had the option of traction control.  For the exterior, while previous years only had black roofs and mirrors, 1995 received the option of painting the roof and mirrors the same as the body color.
