1978 was a banner year for the Camaro. Soft front and rear bumpers and much larger taillights highlight the changes the 1978 Camaro saw over the previous year.  Chevrolet accented the new bumpers with a body kit that lowered the front and featured sideskirts.  For the first time in the Camaro options list, T-tops were offered.  Besting the single-year sales record of 1969, the 1978 Camaro sold 272,633 units.
