1974 Chevrolet Camaro
Federal safety mandates for impact-resistant bumpers (aluminum was the material Chevrolet chose) and a sloping grill caused the 1974 Camaro to grow 7 inches from 1973. The round taillights from previous years were replaced with rectangular, wraparound design. This was also the last year to feature a flat rear window and large C pillars. Even with the Arab Oil Embargo, Camaro production increased to over 150,000 units.
